BITSAT 2026 Registration Date Announced: BITS Pilani Releases Revised Exam Schedule and Key Details

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has officially released the registration timeline and detailed examination schedule for the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) 2026. Aspiring candidates can begin submitting their applications from December 15, 2025, through the official admissions portal at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.

Applicants will have the option to register for Session 1 or for both sessions until March 16, 2026. All instructions, notifications, and application-related updates will be available exclusively on the official website.


BITSAT 2026 to Be Held in Two Sessions

To offer flexibility and an opportunity for score improvement, BITSAT 2026 will once again be conducted in two separate phases:

  • Session 1: April 15 to April 17, 2026
  • Session 2: May 24 to May 26, 2026

Candidates may appear for either one session or both. For students attempting both sessions, the higher of the two scores will be considered for admission.

BITSAT 2026 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

BITSAT will continue to follow its computer-based adaptive test format. The examination assesses candidates across the following five sections:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics or Biology
  • English Proficiency
  • Logical Reasoning

The test paper consists of 130 mandatory questions. Candidates who complete these sections early may attempt up to 12 additional bonus questions.

The marking scheme remains unchanged:

  • +3 marks for each correct answer
  • −1 mark for each incorrect answer
  • No penalty for unanswered questions

Admissions to Three BITS Campuses

BITSAT scores are used for admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and integrated science programmes offered at all three BITS campuses:

  • Pilani
  • Goa
  • Hyderabad

Candidates applying for the B.Pharm programme may choose between Mathematics or Biology, depending on their eligibility and course preference.
