Dear Students,
You have worked hard for months, some of you for years. The last week before JEE Main Session-1 (21–30 January 2026) is not the time to learn new things, but the time to perfect what you already know. This phase can decide whether your preparation converts into a rank or regret.
I am sharing a clear, practical, and psychologically balanced last-week strategy that has helped thousands of students perform at their true potential.
1. The Golden Rule of the Last Week
Revise → Practice → Stay Calm → Perform
❌ No new chapters
❌ No comparison with others
❌ No panic due to mock scores
✔ Strong revision
✔ Smart mock analysis
✔ Stable mindset
2. Subject-Wise Strategy (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
Physics
Focus on high-return, formula-based, conceptual topics:
Must-Revise Areas
- Modern Physics (Photoelectric effect, Atoms, Nuclei)
- Current Electricity & Capacitors
- Magnetic Effects & EMI
- Ray Optics
- Thermodynamics
- Units, Dimensions & Error Analysis
Strategy
- Revise formulas + standard graphs
- Practice numerical questions you have already done
- Avoid lengthy derivations now
📌 Target: 70–80% accuracy with speed
Chemistry
Chemistry is the rank-deciding subject if handled properly.
Physical Chemistry
- Mole concept
- Chemical kinetics
- Thermodynamics
- Electrochemistry
- Solutions
👉 Revise formulas + numericals only
Inorganic Chemistry
- Periodic trends
- Chemical bonding
- Coordination compounds
- p-Block (important reactions & trends)
👉 Read NCERT line-by-line (this is non-negotiable)
Organic Chemistry
- GOC
- Reaction mechanisms
- Named reactions
- Biomolecules & Polymers

👉 Focus on reaction flowcharts, not memorization
Mathematics
Math requires confidence + time management.
High-Weight Topics
- Matrices & Determinants
- Vectors & 3D Geometry
- Limits, Continuity, Differentiability
- Definite Integration
- Probability
- Straight Line & Circle
Strategy
- Solve previously practiced questions
- Revise standard results and shortcuts
- Do NOT start new types of problems
📌 Aim: Accuracy over attempting too many questions
3. Mock Test Strategy (Very Important)
How Many Mocks?
- 2–3 full-length mocks only in the last week
- Prefer NTA pattern, recent-level papers
After Each Mock
Ask only three questions:
- Why did I make mistakes?
- Were they conceptual or careless?
- How can I avoid them?
❌ Do not over-analyse percentile
✔ Analyse mistake pattern
4. Daily Schedule for the Last Week
Ideal Daily Plan
- 6–7 hours: Revision (all three subjects)
- 2–3 hours: Practice (selected questions)
- 30–45 min: Formula / NCERT reading
- 30 min: Light physical activity / walk
📌 Sleep 7 hours daily – memory works during rest
5. One Day Before the Exam
- No mock test
- Revise:
- Formula sheets
- Short notes
- NCERT highlights (Chemistry)
- Arrange:
- Admit card
- ID proof
- Exam essentials
- Sleep early
🧠 A fresh mind scores better than a tired one.
6. Exam Day Strategy
- Reach centre at least 60 minutes early
- Start paper with your strongest subject
- Do easy → moderate → tough
- Avoid ego battles with questions
- Use educated elimination in MCQs
📌 Remember:
JEE Main is not about attempting all questions, it is about maximizing correct answers.
7. Mental Conditioning (Most Ignored, Most Important)
- Stop discussing marks after exam
- Ignore social media speculation
- Trust your preparation
- Believe in consistency, not luck
Final Words from Arbind Sir
Dear students,
The last week does not demand extraordinary effort — it demands extraordinary discipline.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to be calm, clear, and confident.
Give your best performance, not your fear.
Ranks follow those who perform under pressure.
Believe in yourself. Stay focused. Success is closer than you think.
Best wishes for JEE Main 2025 (Session-1)
