The Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission into their prestigious 5-Year Integrated Program in Management (IPM). The IPM is designed for students who have completed their Class 12 and aspire to build a strong foundation in management education, blending undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
The IPMAT serves as the gateway to IIMs’ 5-Year Integrated Program in Management. This program combines a Bachelor’s degree (first three years) and an MBA (last two years). It provides students with a comprehensive understanding of management, economics, business, and leadership skills from an early stage.
Currently, the following IIMs offer IPM through IPMAT:
- IIM Indore
- IIM Rohtak
- IIM Jammu (via JIPMAT)
- IIM Bodh Gaya (via JIPMAT)
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in any stream.
- Minimum marks: 60% (General, EWS, OBC) and 55% (SC/ST/PwD).
- Age Limit:
Candidates must be below 20 years of age as of July 31 of the admission year.
The IPMAT has a slightly different structure for IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak. Here is the detailed pattern:
IIM Indore IPMAT Pattern
Sections:
- Quantitative Ability (MCQ)
- Quantitative Ability (Short Answer)
- Verbal Ability (MCQ)
- Total Questions: 60
- Duration: 2 hours (40 minutes per section)
- Marking Scheme:
- +4 for each correct answer
- -1 for each wrong answer in MCQ
IIM Rohtak IPMAT Pattern

- Duration: 2 hours
